Military Spouse Fellowship
The FINRA Foundation Military Spouse Fellowship program provides military spouses the opportunity to earn the AFC® (Accredited Financial Counselor) certification—while providing financial counseling and education to the military community. The fellowship covers the costs associated with completing the AFC training and testing. Created in 2006, this opportunity is made possible through generous funding and support by FINRA Foundation, and in partnership with the National Military Family Association (NMFA). The FINRA Foundation covers the costs of the AFC training and testing. We are proud to have awarded the Fellowship to more than 1,250 military spouses since the program’s inception. FINRA Foundation Fellows have logged hundreds of thousands of hours of service to the military community.
What are the program’s benefits?
The Fellowship provides military spouses with:
- a credential that can help jumpstart a career in financial counseling;
- portable job skills that can be transferred no matter where the next PCS takes you;
- the ability to give back to the military community by promoting financial readiness at installations around the world; and
- access to a vast network of Military Spouse Fellows.
