Event Basics
The AFCPE® Symposium is an annual 3 day conference intersecting financial education, research, and practice. It brings together a diverse and inclusive community of people working across the personal finance field. Come to connect, to learn, and to grow. Exchange ideas to help empower and impact the individuals and communities that you serve. Our diverse and inclusive community is a hallmark of AFCPE.
Symposium helps bridge the gap between:

AFCPE Symposium will take place in the Washington D.C. Metro area from Tuesday, November 17th through Thursday, November 19th at the Marriott Bethesda North.

Registration and Pricing
Yes! Members can access their Symposium savings promo code via their myAFCPE portal.
It’s never too late to become a member. Add Membership and save on future events at my.afcpe.org/membership/get!
At the time of Symposium registration, please check your myAFCPE.org Membership dashboard. If it says “Your Membership has been paid!” you are entitled to the $150 discounted member registration price. Check your AFCPE membership status at my.afcpe.org. There’s still time to add Membership and save at my.afcpe.org/membership/get!
Student rate is available to university or college students studying part time or full time at a college or university. All Student Attendees will be prompted to upload a copy of their most current “unofficial” transcript. This is a requirement of registration.

AFCPE Symposium will take place in the Washington D.C. Metro area from Tuesday, November 17th through Thursday, November 19th at the Marriott Bethesda North.
Marriott Bethesda North – Attendee Block: Rate is $239 plus taxes per night, cut off date is 6pm ET, Friday, October 23, 2026
Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Bethesda North – Attendee Block is $209 plus taxes per night – cut off date is Monday, November 26, 2026

Presenting and Professional Development
The window to apply to present for the 2026 Symposium has closed. Be on the lookout for submitting to present for 2027 in early Spring of 2027!
All presenters were required to register for and attend AFCPE Symposium.
If you’re attending Symposium in person, OR virtually it is preapproved for 15 CEUs for AFC® Certified Professionals.
CFP® Professionals: TBD CFP CEs. CEs are pre-approved for the calendar year in which Symposium is held.
AFC Candidates can earn 15 w/ the option to view recordings for additional hours.
The application window for Symposium scholarships is closed. It will open for 2027 in June of 2027.
Sure! We have prepared a letter for you to share with your supervisor to persuade them to approve your attendance. Download the letter here.
Certificates and Documentation
The Certificate of Attendance lives on the Symposium Profile Home. It will be available at the close of this year’s event.
Recordings and Access
Access to the recordings expired on June 30th 2026.
Yes. They will be available for 2026 attendees in December and for purchase through June 30th, 2027.
