Refund and Transfer Policy

As part of our commitment to be clear and transparent with pricing, this policy outlines which program fees and services are refundable across the organization.

Certification

AFC® Registration Fees: AFC Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

AFC Exam Fees: AFC exam fees are non-transferable. AFC exam fees are non-refundable thirty (30) days after the date of purchase.

Refund Requirements: AFC exam fees are ineligible for refund if registrant has scheduled and/or completed the AFC exam. All approved refund requests will be issued for the original purchase amount less a $100 non-refundable administrative fee.

AFC Program Extension Fees: AFC® program extension fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

AFC Certification Fees: Annual AFC certification fees, including CEU extension fees, are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

CEU Approval Fees: CEU approval fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Education

AFC Study Materials: The AFC Learning System and printed books are non-transferable. The AFC Learning System and printed books are non-refundable thirty (30) days after the date of purchase.

Refund Requirements 

Unused items may be returned for a full refund (less shipping/handling) within 30 days of the original date of purchase under the following two conditions: 

  • It is still in its original condition such that it can be resold; AND
  • The AFC Learning System has not been activated.

Please enclose a copy of your original invoice. If you do not possess a copy of your invoice, kindly ensure inclusion of the following details within the designated box:

  • Full ship to name, and
  • Invoice number (if available).

You will receive credit for the price of the program in the original form of payment you provided. We do not issue credit for any shipping or handling charges. You are responsible for return freight fees. Please note we do not provide return labels. Refunds can take up to 15 business days for the credit (if applicable) to appear on your account.

AFCPE AFC Prep Course: The AFCPE AFC Prep Course is non-transferable. The AFCPE AFC Prep Course is non-refundable thirty (30) days after the date of purchase.

AFCPE Professional Development:  Live and/or recorded AFCPE professional development webinars are non-refundable and non-transferable.  

AFCPE Essentials Courses: AFCPE Essentials Courses are non-transferable. AFCPE Essentials Courses are non-refundable five (5) days after the date of purchase.

Refund Requirements 

Unused items may be returned for a full refund (less shipping/handling) within 5 days of the original date of purchase under the following condition:

  • The Essentials Course has not been activated.

You will receive credit for the price of the course in the original form of payment you provided. Refunds can take up to 15 business days for the credit (if applicable) to appear on your account.

AFC Independent Trainer: AFC Independent Trainer registration and renewal fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Member Services

Annual Membership Dues: AFCPE membership dues are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Symposium

Cancellation Policy (Except Scholarship Registrations): Registrations canceled prior to September 30, 2025, will be refunded in full*. *For registrations paid by credit card: Full refund will be made, minus a $25 cancellation fee. Due to Symposium content being available until May 2026, any cancellation requests received after September 30, 2025, will NOT be honored. ***Please note that submitting your online registration information obligates you to pay for registration. All cancellation requests must be submitted to AFCPE® in written form via email to Events. *EXHIBITOR Registration Fee is Non-Refundable.

Note about Refunds and Discount Codes: Discount Code Usage Discount codes may not be combined with any other sale or promotion, discount code, coupon, and or offer. Code is not valid on other products and cannot be applied to prior purchases. Code must be used at the time of checkout, AFCPE will not refunds for a discount code not used at the time of purchase. Shipping if applicable, is excluded.
