My Work: Educate youth and adults about money management using research-based personal finance tools to prepare them for life after school and life after work.

My Roots:  Rural Missouri, born and raised!

My Passion(s): Family, finance and adventuring in the outdoors

My Hero: Geraldine Weiss, “The Grand Dame of Dividends”

My Favorite Quote: “The most important investment you can make is in yourself.” – Warren Buffett

My Favorite Personal Finance Tool/Resource: Other finance educators and specialists; networking and learning from other experts in the field (and asking them lots of questions) is a great way to see things in a new way

My Advice To Someone Going Through the AFC certification Program: Read all the books and answer the questions in the Personal Finance textbook at the end of each chapter – there are tons of “real life” scenarios and process questions. Complete the Study Guide and re-read where you find weak points.

My Way of “Meeting People Where They Are”: Listen and then listen some more.  Share my own life stories and struggles.
