My Work: Integrate financial education and wellness into the student experience at ACC

My Roots: Grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Texas as soon as I could.

My Passion: Finding “good deals.”  And nature.

My Hero: My husband.

My Favorite Quote: You must be the change you want to see in the world. ~Mahatma Gandhi

My Favorite Personal Finance Tool/Resource: The Millionaire Next Door

My Advice To Someone Considering Becoming a Financial Counselor/Coach: It’s easy to want to give the client the answer or the fix, especially if it’s clearly apparent to you. Guiding someone to their own answers, while more time consuming, has a greater chance of sticking.

My way of “Meeting People Where They Are”: Literally, meet them where they are! Use technology to afford people with busy schedules or transportation challenges the same opportunities. Give people the option to participate in-person or virtually.
