Position Description
Bank On Hampton Roads is a free five-month program that started in 2012 in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. It is a coalition of cities within the region, including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake, VA. All three cities work together to provide free financial education to their residents.
Our program does not exist without our volunteers. They are the backbone of our program and the reason it has existed for so long. Our volunteers create our financial education curriculum, teach our participants, and provide one-on-one coaching for any participants who request additional help.
As a volunteer coach, you will meet virtually with one or more participants at least once per month during the five-month program. Our five-month program runs from September to January and February to June. Our classes are held virtually and in person, and we offer multiple classes during the month. Participants also have the opportunity to receive one-on-one financial coaching.

We offer virtual and in-person instruction options. For in-person, you must live near the cities of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, or Chesapeake, Virginia. For virtual, you can live anywhere within the United States.
