Death of a spouse hands down has been proven to be the most stressful life event one can experience. Widowhood is such an intense transitional experience that widows need strong support but at the same time married friends often become distant, other friends are simply uncomfortable and often family members live far away. You as her trusted advisor can be her most important support. A recent piece of research shows when women receive this type of support they are statistically more loyal, more likely to promote you and more likely to tell their family and friends about you. In other words, the work you do with widows may require extra time, thought and patience now but it is well worth it over the long run to establish a client who will never leave you.
