Amanda Wilson

Financial Industry


Amanda Wilson serves as the Vice President of Retail and Business Development at Fort Lee Federal Credit Union. With more than 24 years’ experience in the financial industry, she is passionate about helping develop and inspire people. In her current role at the credit union she oversees the financial literacy program for youth and adults. She works very closely with many local community partners to share an organizational vision of improving the lives of their members and building a stronger community.

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Management. In 2016 she received her Grant Writing and Management Certification from the University of Richmond and received her Certification in Professional Business Development in 2016 from the Credit Union National Association.

Amanda was a 2018 AFCPE Military Spouse Fellowship Scholarship recipient and is currently working towards her AFCPE certification. She is a strong community advocate and serves on various boards such as the Crater Region Workforce Investment Board, the Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee for Prince George, Virginia. She is a member of the John Tyler Community College Steering Committee and just this year she was appointed as a board member for the United Methodist Foundation.

She spends much of her time facilitating adult financial literacy sessions and empowerment conferences. When Amanda is not teaching financial literacy, she is spending her time with her wonderful husband of 13 years in Richmond Virginia with their two
lovely children that keep them very busy.
