Designing Your Counseling Approach to
Include Neurodiverse Clients

October 4, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT
Join us on October 4th at 12pm ET as Liz Yoder, AFC Candidate & AFCPE member, is leading the conversation on how to better understand neurodiversity. Liz will be guiding us through best practices when working with neurodiverse clients.
Liz studied Speech Language Pathology and Audiology at Loyola College in Maryland. She moved soon after graduation into a supportive group home, where she was a live-in caregiver to four adults with Intellectual and Development Disabilities (IDD). Liz got introduced to the IDD advocate community and became determined to work for families and individuals who were often scared to save or earn too much to disqualify them for government benefits. Liz became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional to advocate with them. As Director of Financial Planning at Planning Across the Spectrum, Liz and her colleagues serve clients across the country, many with high support needs and many with few. Started by Andrew Komarow after his own Autism diagnosis, the company’s goal is to provide pathways more financial wellness and inclusion for neurodivergent individuals and others with disabilities.
