Dr. Gilbert Rogers has over a decade of experience in financial literacy and wellness education, Dr. Gilbert Rogers is committed to empowering individuals through knowledge and actionable strategies for success. In his current role, he works collaboratively with the campus community to elevate the importance of financial well-being and expand access to impactful programs for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, as well as university staff.

As the inaugural Director of Financial Well-Being at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Gilbert oversees strategic operations, leads a dynamic team, and forges strong partnerships across campus and the broader community. His leadership drives the development and delivery of innovative financial education initiatives designed to guide Tar Heels in taking meaningful steps toward lasting financial independence.

Gilbert is also an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) and an adjunct professor of finance, teaching personal finance. He is a nationally sought-after speaker and consultant, advising colleges, organizations, and businesses on financial literacy, economic empowerment, and student success.

He holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration, with research interests focused on socioeconomic factors that influence financial literacy and decision-making, and their relationship to academic success. His mission is to help build financial confidence, resilience, and a strong foundation for long-term well-being.
