April is Financial Literacy Month. It’s a time when communities across the country amplify the importance of financial education and the role it plays in long-term stability and opportunity. This year, it also feels like a timely invitation to go All InAll in on financial education; all in on access, all in high standards, and all in on the critical role each of us plays in meeting this moment for the people and communities we serve.

For those of us in this field, it’s more than a moment on the calendar. Every month is Financial Literacy Month. This work meets people where they are, stays grounded in what’s practical, and never loses sight of the high standards our profession is built on. And the impact is real: one conversation at the right time can reduce stress today and make tomorrow feel a little more possible.

Let’s be purposeful about raising our voices for the value of financial education. It isn’t just “nice to have” – it’s foundational, and it should be accessible to all people at all stages of life.

When we share the resources we trust, lift up the outcomes we’re seeing, and invite others into the work, we strengthen financial well-being and expand access to the support people deserve.

This year’s AFCPE Symposium theme is All In, and Financial Literacy Month is a great time to start living it out. Here are a few simple ways to lean in this month – by raising your voice, expanding your learning, and engaging with our community.

  • Share your expertise: Submit a proposal to present at the AFCPE Symposium and help shape the conversations that move our field forward. Deadline to submit is May 8, 2026.
  • Join us at Symposium: Register and plan to attend November 17-19. Join us in person in Bethesda, MD, or virtually, and be part of the learning, connection, and momentum that happens when our community comes together.
  • Strengthen your practice: Take advantage of our Financial Literacy Month discount on Essentials courses and add tools you can use right away. Save 15% through April 30 using the code: SPRINGFORWARD15.
  • Help shape what’s next: Contribute to our strategic planning survey by April 25. Your feedback will help us shape our priorities and more effectively carry-out our mission.

Whether you choose one of these opportunities or find another way to show up, thank you for being part of this community, and for the impact you make every day.
