In this CE-eligible webinar, Tim Maurer, CFP®, RLP®, will examine how personal narratives, money scripts, and emotion-driven decision-making influence financial behavior, particularly for low- to moderate-income individuals. Drawing from behavioral finance and narrative psychology, this session explores how clients’ internal stories about money are formed—and how those stories can either constrain or expand wealth-building potential.

Participants will learn how to recognize common money narratives rooted in shame, identity, and past experience, and how to use intentional, narrative-based communication to help clients develop a more realistic and empowering view of their financial future. The session emphasizes practical techniques for reframing self-talk, setting progress-based goals, and helping clients see a credible path forward—while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

This webinar provides financial professionals with actionable tools to support confidence, clarity, and steady progress in client relationships where belief—not information—is often the primary barrier to long-term financial improvement.
