Neurodivergent individuals—including those with ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and other cognitive differences—represent a meaningful and often underrecognized portion of clients seeking pro bono financial planning services. While their financial needs may range from simple to complex, traditional financial planning models and communication styles can unintentionally create barriers that affect understanding, engagement, and follow-through.
In pro bono settings—where time is limited, resources are constrained, and clients may already be navigating high levels of stress—these barriers can be especially impactful. Without intentional adaptations, even well-intentioned financial guidance may fail to translate into meaningful or sustained progress.
In this free, CE-eligible webinar, Dr. Christine Hargrove, LMFT, Certified Financial Therapist™, and Otto Rivera, EA, CFP®, will explore how neurodiversity influences financial behavior, decision-making, and client engagement in pro bono planning relationships. Participants will gain practical, actionable strategies to adapt meeting structure, communication, and planning workflows—helping neurodivergent clients feel respected, understood, and empowered to take action.
