Fruition Personal Finance: Fruition Mentor

Position Description:

Fruition offers financial wellness and education through a combination of online tools and apps, online education, and 1:1 mentoring.
As a Fruition mentor, you provide 1:1 mentoring and education to members on a variety of financial topics, including budgeting, savings, debt reduction, and retirement. Fruition members can select from 20 or 50-minute sessions.

1099 Mentor – Hourly or Monthly Retainer plus Hourly

Roles/Responsibilities:

As a Fruition Mentor, you would be a resource for our members to discuss financial topics on which they need help. You would answer questions about financial topics, share resources (both internal and external), and provide coaching and mentoring to help members achieve their financial goals. Sessions are 20 or 50 minutes, giving you some time before and after to prep and follow up. You can also participate in providing content for Fruitions’ financial blog or assisting our product team in improving our app.

Time Commitment:

The position is completely flexible. Fruition mentors select the days and times that they want to be available. Mentors connect their Google calendars, and the system automatically blocks out any conflicts to avoid scheduling issues. Contract Mentors are compensated based on 1:1 sessions completed and any other work done for Fruition (training, content, etc.). Retainer Mentors are paid a base retainer that corresponds to 10 hours of 1:1 sessions or other work. Any work beyond 10 hours will be paid at the agreed-upon hourly rate.

Required Qualifications:

Have completed AFCPE’s Money Management Essentials or an equivalent course, and be working towards your AFC® designation. We do not provide financial advice (only education), so no insurance or investment licensing is required. Fruition 1:1 meetings count toward AFC® experience hours, so you get paid to help people, use your knowledge, and work towards your AFC® designation.

Preferred Qualifications:

AFC® or AFC® candidate working towards experience hours (or similar professional designations). We are looking for a diversity of experiences and backgrounds that our members can connect with.
