The Challenge

Financial counseling professionals often need to develop complementary skills beyond technical expertise to effectively reach and serve their communities. Kathy Morris, an AFCPE® member and AFC®, sought to strengthen her professional capabilities in digital communication and community outreach to better serve clients seeking financial guidance.

The Solution

Through AFCPE’s Member Exchange, a professional development resource, Kathy participated in educational opportunities including a LinkedIn professional development pilot and a media interview focused on financial literacy. She worked with AFCPE’s team to develop professional communication skills, learn networking best practices for financial professionals, and understand effective methods for sharing financial education content with communities in need.
