Safe and Savvy Online Shopping

The popularity of online shopping has grown every year for good reason—greater selection (and often better prices), the ability to shop from virtually anywhere at any time, and delivery right to your door. This doesn’t mean online shopping is without risks: the potential for order errors, lost or stolen deliveries, breached payment information, dissatisfaction with products or merchant policies, or even outright fraud. But consumers can reduce the likelihood of hassles when they know how to protect their personal information, make wise choices about where they shop and how they pay, and take steps to avoid disputes. Join us to learn from experts what the safest online payment methods are, how to dispute a fraudulent charge, how to protect personal information, and how to spot fraudulent sites and online reviews.

The webinar will feature a panel of experts, including Debra Berlyn, executive director of Project GOAL (Project to Get Older Adults onLine), and John Breyault, vice president of public policy, telecommunications and fraud for National Consumers League.
