June 18 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT
FreeNot opening mail, avoiding debt collectors, and overspending can be more than just irresponsible behavior. For many, these behaviors are rooted in financial trauma that goes back generations – overcoming this trauma, and the shame that often co-exist can be difficult. Equipped with the right know-how, CFP® professional volunteers can help their clients notice and put an end to financial behaviors that are rooted in trauma. In this webinar, Rahkim Sabree, an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®), will delve into the complex emotional landscape of financial trauma, money shame, and money-avoidant behaviors, particularly in financially vulnerable populations. By the end presentation, CFP® professional volunteers will have the knowledge and tactics to help their pro bono clients overcome the unique challenges of financial trauma to achieve financial success.
