October 20, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

Attendees will learn about the foundational concepts of estate planning, including powers of attorney for medical and finances, as well as living wills, the laws of intestacy, types of assets, and how the titling of an asset determines its transfer upon death.  We dive into the taxes and expenses that are related to administering an estate, with examples from a selection of states.  The use of revocable trusts in an estate plan is addressed, as well as the most common options for leaving an inheritance to beneficiaries, including the use of trusts in stepfamilies and trusts for minors.  Time for questions and answers is included.
