FPA Connect: Addressing ID Theft on Credit Reports

As much as people aim to protect their personal identifying information, sometimes it falls into the wrong hands and can result in fraud or identity theft. Identity theft can damage credit and must be dealt with quickly. During this webinar, we’ll review what identity theft is and how it might show up on credit reports and share the steps you can take as a practitioner to help your clients address identity theft issues on credit reports. Practitioners should leave this webinar with a better understanding of the process for disputing fraudulently opened accounts that show on credit reports including for youth in foster care and military.
