This JFCP special issue was designed and planned to publish manuscripts that can provide important practical implications for practitioners working in the field of financial counseling and education. To accomplish the goal of this special issue, linking research to practice, research topics were focused on financial counseling, coaching, and education, but also emphasized how research findings can be applicable in financial practices. The included manuscripts feature strong research designs and methods that provide expansive implications to benefit financial counselors, educators, and practitioners. Each of the chosen manuscripts focused on a crucial area of personal finances and expanded how their research can provide new insights and strategies for financial professionals. In particular, these 13 chosen manuscripts include the following four themes, financial education, counseling, and coaching, financial self-efficacy and behavior, financial communication, and financial planning.
