SUMMARY:FPA Connect: Your Clients Are Already Using AI. Are You Protected? The Fiduciary-Safe AI Blueprint
DESCRIPTION:Clients now turn to AI for financial guidance before they ever consult a professional\, and the same tools are quietly entering counselors’ and planners’ workflows. This session gives financial professionals a clear\, practical framework for protecting client confidentiality\, safeguarding sensitive data\, and upholding their duty of care as AI reshapes how clients find and receive financial guidance. Through real examples\, attendees will learn to spot the confidentiality and consumer-protection risks AI introduces\, evaluate AI-generated information before it reaches a client\, and apply a simple human-in-the-loop process that keeps their professional and fiduciary obligations intact. You’ll learn where AI quietly creates confidentiality and consumer-protection risk\, how to tell the difference between a public AI tool and a fiduciary-safe workflow\, how to verify AI output before it ever informs a client decision\, and how to make sure the information clients find about you is accurate and not misleading. Attendees leave with a one-page AI-use checklist they can apply to their practice immediately. \nPresenter: Mimi Johnson
