SUMMARY:Medicare Made Simple: What Caregivers and Providers Need to Know Now
DESCRIPTION:This on-demand learning session provides an overview Medicare with information for providers who support family caregivers\, delivered in a format designed to move beyond the traditional webinar. Instead of a one-time lecture\, this program offers a flexible\, self-paced experience featuring short learning segments\, real-world scenarios\, and interactive prompts to help you apply what you learn. Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people age 65 and older\, along with certain younger individuals with disabilities or serious health conditions\, and helps pay for services such as doctor visits\, hospital stays\, and prescription medications. SUMMARY:FPA Connect: Reverse Budgeting: Simple\, Powerful\, and Not for Everyone
DESCRIPTION:“Keep a budget” is one of the most common yet least implemented recommendations. This interactive webinar highlights why conventional budgeting is so difficult and how “reverse budgeting” may be a better approach. While conventional budgeting takes a detailed bottom-up approach\, reverse budgeting’s top-down approach focuses first on goals and savings. This flip can increase clients’ savings rates and financial health while paradoxically decreasing their understanding of how each dollar is spent. Reverse budgeting is simple yet powerful. And\, as this webinar discusses\, not for everyone. \nThis session It equips AFC professionals with a simple\, client-friendly budgeting alternative they can use when traditional methods fail—helping clients reduce overwhelm\, stay motivated\, and make meaningful progress toward their goals. \nPresenter: Matt J. Goren\, PhD CFP

SUMMARY:From Overwhelm to Action: Creating “Buy-In” in Pro Bono Financial Planning
DESCRIPTION:You’ve seen it happen in pro bono work. A client schedules an appointment and shows up hopeful—but overwhelmed. They nod along during the session\, yet follow-through is limited. Or life gets in the way and momentum stalls after just one meeting. Sometimes\, clients don’t show up at all. \nIn pro bono financial planning\, this isn’t a failure of advice or effort. More often\, it’s a lack of buy-in. Buy-in is the foundation that helps clients feel capable\, motivated\, and supported—especially when time is limited and financial stress is high. When buy-in is present\, clients are more likely to engage\, take action between sessions\, and make meaningful progress\, even within short-term or volunteer-led engagements. \nIn this free webinar\, Kelsa Dickey will share a practical\, client-centered framework designed to help nonprofit staff\, CFP® professionals\, and AFC® professionals intentionally create buy-in at key touchpoints in the client relationship. Participants will learn how thoughtful communication\, realistic expectations\, and intentional touchpoints can increase participation\, improve follow-through\, and lead to more meaningful outcomes for both clients and volunteers.
